I bought my first camera in 1998 with the dreams of one day being hired by National Geographic. The camera was nothing more than a toy but as soon as I took my first photos (and got them back from the superstore photolab two weeks later) I realized that I was hooked. I was hooked because no matter how hard I tried to take good photos and document my experiences, I could never quite capture the moments on film the way that they looked in my mind. I would burn through rolls and rolls of film (and $) trying but I would only come away with one or two good photos at a time. Photography quickly became my obsession, and it was in these early days that I realized that my photographic journey would probably last my whole lifetime.

It's now been 20 years since my first camera and I've come a fairly decent way. My skills have increased and I don't use toy cameras anymore, but I'm still hooked. I'm hooked on taking photographs that tell stories. I'm still obsessed with taking pictures that allow people to step back into a moment and experience it again as if it were the first time. I hope to share this with you!

I'm now based in Halifax, after spending the last five amazing years in Ireland and Ottawa. 

 

My specialty is travel and tourism photography, but I am also experienced in event, commercial, editorial and lifestyle photography. I can work on location, or I can bring my mobile studio to you.
